It is designed for stable network access in industrial installations, mobile locations and other applications requiring flexible wired and wireless communication. The router operates with 5G Sub-6 GHz SA, providing download speeds of up to 223 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 123 Mbps.

Flexible mobile connectivity is supported by two Mini SIM card slots with automatic SIM switching. The device can change between SIM cards according to signal quality, data limits or roaming conditions. Optional eSIM support is also available. The router provides detailed connection information, including operator, network type, signal strength, SINR, RSRP, RSRQ, cell ID and transmitted and received data.

5G Sub-6 GHz SA: up to 223 Mbps download and 123 Mbps upload

4G LTE Cat 4: up to 195 Mbps download and 105 Mbps upload

SIM support: 2 × Mini SIM, automatic SIM switching and optional eSIM

Wi-Fi 4: 802.11b/g/n with Access Point and Station modes

Wi-Fi capacity: up to 100 simultaneous clients

Advanced Wi-Fi: wireless mesh, fast roaming, BSS transition management and radio resource measurement

Wired networking includes one 10/100 Mbps WAN port and three 10/100 Mbps LAN ports. The router supports static and dynamic routing, VLAN separation, port forwarding, DMZ, NAT, NAT64 and a wide range of network protocols. Bridge mode and IP passthrough allow the mobile connection to be passed directly to another device on the LAN.

Network security and remote access are provided through a configurable firewall, traffic rules, access control, port protection and protection against selected network attacks. The RUT976 supports OpenVPN, IPsec, GRE, L2TP, WireGuard, ZeroTier, Tinc, Stunnel and other VPN technologies. Wi-Fi security includes WPA2, WPA3, OWE, AES-CCMP, TKIP, EAP-TLS and 802.11w PMF.
