Dixie Fever Deluxe Edition

Synopsis

This is the trio's third album, released in 1977. Following their previous work, it was co-produced by Haruomi Hosono (credited as Harry Hosono) and Makoto Kubota. While their previous album had a Hawaiian and Okinawan tropical feel, this one is based on the swamp rock of the American South, as glimpsed within it. As depicted in Yasuo Yagi's illustrations, the heavy rhythms, guitar & slide guitar, and Kubota's lazy vocals create a passionate and tenacious sound. Disc 2 includes the remix album "MADE IN ISLAND". Makoto Kubota (v.g.ch), Kenichi Inoue (g), Hiroma Fujita (slide-g, mdr), Takashi Onzo (b) / Produced by: Haruomi Hosono + Makoto Kubota / Ronnie Barron (p, Hammond), Travis Fullerton (ds, v), Tatsuo Hayashi (ds), Motoya Hamaguchi (per), Haruomi Hosono (string ensemble, musser), Dennis Graue (p), Rachel N.
