Oleofarm Ibesterap Sodium Butyrate 60 Capsules

The butyric acid contained in the product (in the form of sodium butyrate) is classified as a short-chain fatty acid and is the basic source of energy for intestinal epithelial cells. In humans, it is produced in the large intestine during the fermentation of fiber.

Butyric acid, present in the gastrointestinal lumen, is essential for maintaining proper homeostasis of mucosal cells. It determines their proper metabolism and proliferation, is responsible for repair processes, and maintains the integrity of the intestinal barrier.

It also has a beneficial effect on the intestinal microbiome by stimulating the growth of saprophytic flora, thus inhibiting the development of other pathogens.
