Bruno Walter's Art: Complete Stereo Recordings 1957-1961 [19] ■The stereo recordings made by Bruno Walter (1876-1962) in his final years, from 1957 to 1961, are among the most important performances in his vast discography. These recordings, a culmination of his long musical career, diverse experiences, and profound insights, are a collection of "world heritage" level masterpieces. Recorded with meticulous rehearsals and sessions with a specially organized Columbia Symphony Orchestra, and using state-of-the-art equipment and technology at the acoustically superior American Legion Hall, these are early stereo recordings. These recordings have been newly remixed and remastered for the first time in 21 years since 1998, and are being sold separately from the "Bruno Walter Complete Stereo Recordings SA-CD Hybrid Edition" (7 volumes, released 2019-2020), which won a Special Award in the Special Category at the 58th Record Academy Awards in 2020.

■Walter's emotionally rich musical interpretation effortlessly matched the essence of Brahms's works. His third recording of Symphony No. 1 showcases a magnificent, dynamic interpretation that brings out the passionate romanticism inherent within its classical form. This coupling features two works with superb choral work.
